Anti-casualisation working group meetings Thursday 20th and Friday 21st January

We have two meetings of the Anti-Casualisation Working Group this week that are open to UCU members interested in tackling casualisation, irrespective of your employment status. Meeting 1: Anti-casualisation Working Group meeting – Thursday 20th January, 1-2pm
This is a regular meeting of the Working Group to discuss new and ongoing issues related to casualisation.

Agenda:
Any issues arising from casualised employment that you wish to raise – it is always valuable to hear members’ concerns!

  • Current efforts to improve working conditions for Postgraduate Researchers
  • Current efforts around variable hours pay
  • Asking your views on Cardiff UCU’s new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion working group
  • Asking your input around staff who are on open-ended contracts with ‘relevant factors’

Meeting 2: Anti-casualisation meeting focused on Languages for All – Friday 21 January, 1-2pm
The meeting will explore current efforts to improve working conditions for Languages for All staff. All are welcome who are interested in this and/or wish to support.
